I've just crossed Pacifice Document Services off my list

of companies I will work for. I told them up front, and in writing that my fees are 100% if a closing cancels at the table, recinds, etc. I did a closing for them July 3, and they just sent me a check for $42.50, for a closing that cancelled at the table. It was a 1st and 2nd, and my fee encompassed that, and the fact that it was in a county that my price is a tier higher, and it was a last minute rush. I've contacted them regarding the fee, and we'll go from there. I've done 2 closings for them, and when they asked me to work with them, they said payments were 30 days out, both have been 60 days. I get the impression they are having financial difficulties.

Re: Is this the one in Brentwood, CA

I too am almost 60 days out on payment. When I called he said he thought my payment should of went out with the checks in the last check disbursement and if it was any different he would call me back. That was over a week ago and no call back and no check. I already posted this on their listing in Signing Central.
My NO-NO list is getting longer and longer.

**My NO-NO list is getting longer and longer.**

No no lists used to be shorter than the yes lists. Ah...those were the days.

I accepted a signing from them for Sept. I've never dealt with them and you're making me think twice.

Re:But thats the scary part Roger........

SS's that had a good rep are feeling the wrath and its trickeling down to us. And I dont know about you but their reputation in the past is almost insignificant these days because the way I see it no one is immune to whats going on in the industry.

A SA in one state may be paid in a timely manner because a SS may generate more business there and to keep the cash flow coming in that SA needs to be on priority list to get paid, and the others(SA) they use in another state with not so much business there are going to have to wait because they(SS) are experiencing a cash flow problem and cant pay everyone. It comes down to who is priority to pay to keep us(SS) in business and keep the cash flow coming in and keep our clients happy. That is just my opinion on the non payment or very late payment issue with the comps who had or have a good rep.

Even before all this I have had problems with comps(only a couple) that had a good rep on paying in a timely manner. No problems on my end, I did everything correctly and error free, but the only conclusion I came to was these comps only called me twice a year and I wasnt priority to pay because they will not need me on a regular basis. In other words, Im not creating a big cash flow for them.

This is all just my opinion on whats going on now and in the past based on my experiences and reading experiences of others.
