PA ID question

I feel like a dumb blonde today even though I'm not blonde LOL -

When you have a woman that was using her maiden name on the title and is now married do you ID her with both names?

Example - Jessica C. Doe a/k/a Jessica C. Jones - do I need an ID for her former maiden name and an ID for her current married name?

Make sure you have her sign with AKA

Re: I would say, yes

because you state that she is signing title with maiden name, you would need to ID her as maiden name, unless the notarization is only for married name.

She signs title as Jane B Doe a/k/a Jane D Smith or Jane D Smith f/k/a Jane B Doe and the notarization reads ...personally appeared ...Jane D Smith... OR title is signed Jane D Smith, wtta Jane B Doe and the notarization still reads ...personally appeared...Jane D Smith... I think either way, you can/should only ID as current married name.

What does the hiring entity say about how to proceed? IF she can provide ID with both names, things would be easier. Alternately, a correction deed or name change deed/affidavit would be the way to go to clear this up.

This is merely my own ramblings & should not be construed as advice, legal or otherwise.
