Florida acknowledgements*Help

I have a grant deed from Nebraska that needs to be notarized. It is going to be signed by clients in Ca. and recorded in Nebraska.
The wording on the acknowledgement reads
Witness my hand and notarial seal at ___________________ in said County, the date aforesaid.
I am not familiar with this wording.Would the city, county name go in the blank. No sarcasim please..just a little help. Thanks!

IMO, how does FL fit in there? If you are in CA, then use what CA requires, attaching the proper ACK. Your venue is where you are, not FL or Neb. Hope this helps.

BTW: whatever this wording is, and I have not seen it before either, it is not FL compliant either, so I would be attaching an ack.

It does want you to put city and state where your signing at, but like JBA said since your in California you need to use one of CA's new acknowledgements. The link for getting the new acknowlegement has been posted on the board several times in the last few days, just scroll through the messages you'll find it.

This is my first out of state, notary. The couple lives here. One good thing about this, it was a learning experience. Got the new acknowledgemnt, attached it. Thanks.

The great thing is that as a CA notary completing signings for other states, you are to use CA jurat and Ack wording. I just did a signing where it will be recorded in Oklahoma. Every ack and jurat was different. There was one that was close to the CA ack, but it didn't have the new additional wording that's now required.

For one jurat, it had no venue, no line to put signer's name, no date and no line for me to sign. It just had one line that began, "Subscribed and sworn this day....."
I just lined through it, wrote "see attached loose jurat" and attached the new form.

Tip: When you're preparing the docs for a signing, review the pages with a fine tooth comb. Some notarizations appear as part of the body of the document and are not obvious......and could be missed. Good luck!!
