Northstar Notary

I did a signing on Nov. 9, 2007 for Northstar Notary. The invoice was for $100 with printing doc's included in that fee. When they contracted me I had to sign paperwork for them and fax it back, at that time I notified them in writing that whether the loan closes or not I expect to get paid my full amount. After several attempts to reach someone throughout December I finally got a check on Dec. 28 for not even half the amount, $42.50 and a note that said this loan cancelled. I think their customer service is terrible, and they don't respect their notaries time and effort and professionalism or they would honor the agreement made.

Did you call the borrower to see if the loan cancelled? n/m

Did you get confirmation back that if the loan cancelled, they would still pay you full fee? If not, I have a feeling you are SOL.
