Daytona Beach reporting snow flurries - been a while since I've seen snow in Orlando - about 6-7 years or more. I remember I had oregano as a ground cover on my pathways in garden and I was freakin' about it possibly dying out...instead it appeared to have given it impetus to grow faster. Hardy little plant! Just like all of us - we are hardier than we appear most times.

Always interesting to see how the rest of the country appears to its inhabitants...

True enough. I'm from Cali, been here for 3 years, still getting used to it when it gets like this. I'm with Dorothy though, if its sunny, I can take it. The gray def. gets me. Hows the weather now? Hopefully everyone made it through OK.

Too funny. As I sit here smiling because my best friend who lived in Florida for 15+ years just moved back up here. She was OK for a bit, but then the cold set in and she is COLD. Poor girl. She is really freaking out on the weather. She is already talking about a trip back to Florida in April. Today I woke up and it was -7. In a couple of days, it might reach 40. Only in Wisconsin

My neighbor can't get his car started. Thats what he does for a living...fixes cars! Good to have a garage here and not fill it up with cars that need fixing and keep the functional ones outside!
I am inclined to stay in today and organize myself for the new year.

Ahh, Cold but Sun is SHINNING!

Winter is almost bearable as long as the sun Shines. Hate the greay days even more than the cold ones.
