A comment on firewalls .....
If any of you are using a router (wireless router that you also plug your desktop into also) between your modem and computers, you have a hardware firewall. I haven't used a software firewall in years. Also, as far as anti-virus and anti-spyware, I use the free stuff. Antivir (although I did just purchase their premium) , spybot, lavasoft and spyware blaster. Never any problems. Computer runs much faster than when I am using McAfee or Norton.
Just a thought.

Re: A comment on firewalls .....
That should have been a multi computer wired router or a wireless router that you also plug your desktop into. Both are hardware firewalls.

I have a hardware firewall
and also windows firewall. I disabled the windows firewall, reduced my security settings in IE and added notaryrotary to my trusted sites. I also checked the settings on my hardware firewall but I must be missing something there because I still can't get in. Any suggestions? Do I need to open a specific port? TIA
