SPAM EMAIL - NNA Notary of the year....(Being rant)

I'll reply here as well....

Please don't send me any more of this SPAM.
I could care less if the NNA announced someone as Notary of the Year, as the NNA does
all it can to tarnish a great industry. The NNA is nothing more then the nations largest
Signing Service. They milk notaries for a membership fee, they attempt to dictate what
notaries should be charging, and tell title companies and others what they should be paying
INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS for their service.

They do us all a disservice.....

In my opinion anyone that has been a member of their organization should file a SS-8 Determination of Worker Status with the IRS, because of their attempts to influence fees that we are paid. As independent contractors we Dictate our fees, not a 3rd party organization, which is what they have attempted to do when they post the recommended fees for a different types of closings, and this is seen by title companies, etc.

Let the IRS sort it out, at the very least it'll send a strong message to the NNA to BACK OFF.

But in the meantime, I really couldn't care less if someone in your notary network was voted as The Coolest NNA Notary of All Time 2008, Honorable Mention, Really Nice Guy. Please, keep those emails to yourself. I don't care.

(End Rand)
