CT Notaries: What's the status of Raised Bill No. 435?

Bobbi brought to our attention the Raised Bill that would increase the fees to $10 per notarization (from the current $5) and the mileage charge to match the IRS rate (from the current $0.35). Anybody know what's happening with the Bill?

CT Status of Raised Bill No. 435 ...

It's been referred to the Office of Fiscal Analysis.

FYI. It needs to get out of there, voted by both chambers and to the Governor's desk before May 5 (end of session) ... assuming the Legislature has time for this after it deals with the budget deficit issues of increasing taxes to cover increased State spending. Frown
