Expired Notary Stamps
Curious what others do to destroy their expired notary seals. Mine are in the safe, but I really want to toss them as they aren't good for anything else, but know I need do somehow destroy them first. Sounds messy. Ideas anyone?

For self-inking stamps like the Vision or Trodot, I have pulled the rubber impression part off & cut it up with a scissors. It's a little messy, but the only way I know to destroy the impression part. Otherwise, I had thought about putting it under the tires of my car & driving over it. LOL

It is usually possible to peel off the stamp part and cut it up. Not very messy. What does your SOS say?

I usually have the Rubber Stamp company that I get my new stamp from, destroy it in front of me. That way they get ink on their hands and I walk away with my pretty new stamp. ;0)

Ohhh.. that's a very savvy idea, but my most recent one I got from Not Rot. Very nice by the way.

All it takes is a little bit of soap and water! n/m

I take a razor blade and criss cross it over the stamp, then pull the pieces off and dispose of them and the whole thing. Totally destroyed.

I get one of those Aim-N-Flame lighters and hold the flame to the rubber and it destroys the writing on the stamp. Do this outside, as it can be smelly.

Ohhh... good use for my hubby's butane kitchen torch. That will be quick and less messy. I'll choose that option.
Thanks all for the great ideas!

After enjoying a great barbecue I throw any and all items that need to be destroyed on the coals. Guaranteed to go to ashes.
