HP 2430dtn Laserjet Cartridge

I having been using Inkjet.com to buy cartridges for my HP2430dtn for 4-5 years. Until just recently I always bought the OEM but have ordered the compatible ones recently. I am having much difficulty with the compatible. My printer gives me a message to take out the cartridge and put it back in due to the inability to read the data. I may have to do this 8-10 times before I can get the printer to print more than 1 page.
Does anyone else have experience with an HP 2430dtn who may have a similar issue. If anyone has a provider that they have had a good experience with compatibles, please let me know how to get in touch with them. Thanks for any input.

I get refills done at Cartridge World. I've never gone to a "compatible" for the reasons you are having and would prefer to pay a little more to NOT have the headache.

The cheapies often use untested chips, and one fried my

last 2430. So my criteria now is to check that the chips are authentic/tested.

Best of luck, Richard.

I have two 2430tn printers and have bought compatible cartridges at LD Products for the last few years - never had a problem with the chips or with getting error messages. In fact, the printer tells me that a genuine HP cartridge is installed when I put a new LD one in!

One time, I did start getting a message that a newly-installed cartridge was almost out of toner - I contacted LD and they replaced it immediately.

I agree, LD products are the benchmark for quality. I've tried a few cheapie places online, but they never yield as many prints or the opc drum gets scratched too fast and you get those annoying thin black vertical lines on all the pages!

I've successfully used LD products, also, with the same result. Printer seems to be very happy with the chip - and their service is excellent.

Thanks to all for your information. I am going to contact LD Products today. I apologize for being so late as we had a death in our family.
