Has anyone closed for someone famous???

I have one tomorrow, for a baseball player and I'm so excited.....okay okay....he plays for a baseball team - I don't want to mention names since it hasn't happened yet and I don't want to jinx my good fortune Tuesday!

But I wonder if anyone else has on this forum????

Re: I think I'd be okay to mention the name but NOT (obviously)

Nope - wouldn't be Ok to mention the name. Maybe he doesn't want anyone to know he is refinancing, or just buying a house. Think of it as Notary-client confidentiality

No, but I once did an early morning closing for a really attractive call girl who was also a domiatrix. She showed me her equipment, and I was still chuckling in amazement when we finished late that afternoon.

What do you think the chances of my meeting with movie stars, directors, talk show hosts, sports figures, political figures, hoteliers, restauranteurs, millionaires and billionaires, etc. are in this town. HUGE. I never discuss the profiles of my clients. They all deserve their absolute privacy. I'm escorted into some of the most palicious spreads you only see on the Lives of the Rich and Famous, then I sit on crates in homes in lower socio economic areas signing modifications for the real people trying to keep their lives together. Everyone gets treated with the same delicate discretion and their lifestyles are not to be shared with any one.

We are not at liberty to discuss our clients and how famous or infamous they are. Loose lips sink ships!

Some soap opera star, who was miffed that I didn't know her.

Even more miffed when after being harangued to name her show, I jokingly said America's most wanted. her husband found that to be quite funny, not so much for her. We all survived.

I've done quite a few, too.... I think many of the SoCal notaries have. It's really fairly commonplace out here!

But yeah... confidentiality pretty much tops all.

I closed for someone famous last year. Wonderful-WONDERFULLY Comfortable experience! AND...the signing co. that hired me took 6 months to pay me! HAHAHA! I had to include in my collection letter how unfortunate it would be if I had to contact Title/Escrow for payment, which did ultimately get me paid. But all in all, very warm, welcoming person, just like 98% of the rest of my signers!
