State of Nevada statue
I was just advised that the state of Nevada will not allow notary acknowledgements that are completed in blue ink to be recorded. Is this true?

I don't know, but every time I've done something for NV I've been instructed to do in black ink.

Paw
I filled the notary acknowledgements in blue. Should I include loose acknowledgements in black? I didn't see the warning from Chicago title until after the signing.

The way I read that, the black ink pertains to the TYPEFACE, not the signatures.

Yes, but does that include the completion of the notary block with the exception of the signature?

Pat, when I worked in Register of Deeds, and a document was executed outside of Michigan for Michigan properties, the "rules" fell by the way side.....we recorded it anyway as we could get sued for rejecting a document. I doubt you'll have a problem if your venue, dates, etc are in blue.
We have the same thing here in MI as previous posters said, it's the body of the doc that has to be in black.

"...Text that is smaller than a 10-point Times New Roman "
NOTE: it says *text* that is smaller than.....not signatures...

I agree.
My interpretation is whatever is text on the document, e.g. contextual content. This does not include signatures. (Not to be construed as a legal interpretation of Nevada's statute or any statute.)

My experiences in Nevada all seem to involve red ink.
