The first clue is the use of a gmail email address. Most title and escrow folks will have their own domain and use it for their email. It also seems like these spammers often claim a "private loan refinance". We can't be too careful these days. I got a very similar message late last week that I almost didn't reply to, but it turned out to be legit. I did lots of checking and searches before I replied - but I'm very glad I did!
[BTW, this escrow company is likely dealing with enough headaches with someone using their company name to try to scam people, so it's probably not helpful to post their address here... Just sayin'...] |
