Did you try everything that BearPaw/CO suggested? You might also try any state regulators. I, too, would think that banks would be easier to go after, but then I guess if that were the case, there wouldn't be so many others who have been stiffed by them. But you never know... I believe that many of these companies get away with it just because notaries give up trying to collect.

Anyone trying to chase after their $$$ has my sympathies because I also hate doing that, so I'm very careful who I work for. It would be great if people could learn this from other people's experience early on so they didn't have to figure this out from the school of hard knocks!
