To be clear ... most apostilles do not require embosser. Some receivers may state in their instructions that notarial stamp must be embossed. But, that is not generally the case. IMO, embossing just makes it look more official, especially if you add a gold foil, and that's what that receiving party is looking for, the official look.
I've been a notary since 2006 and only once have I been asked to embosse -- and I've accommodated many apostilles to a variety of countries. |
