Thank you, Mike! Looks like this is another one of the key issues that the remote notarization promoters are glossing over... So happy to see that FL has decided to pass on this for now. Hopefully level heads will prevail unless and until these issues are solved.
It also occurs to me that if easily available cameras are developed that could read the 3-D image, it wouldn't require much beyond that to also be able to 3-D print forgeries. And we'd be back to where we were before the 'real ID' so-called advancements. I can't help but wonder how effective machines and cameras will be at 'reading' the vibe in a room! How many of us have been in a situation where something just felt off and our better judgment (or intuition, etc.) told us not to proceed? I don't know how anyone can mechanize or quantify those kinds of situations. [I say this hesitantly, because I'm afraid too much could be read into it. I'm not dismissing the common good advice to "notarize, don't analyze"... But once in a rare while, there are exceptions.]
