I'm in SC, and there are definitely a lot of hobbyist Notaries here. I'm sure some of you have heard this one. "I don't know why they had to send you, I'm a notary." Just had to explain the difference between a Notary and a Notary Signing Agent last week, and why a company would want an impartial party witnessing the signing of the documents. I got the pursed lips, and the cold stare afterwards.
