I didn't expect this to evolve into a he-said/she-said type of discussion, but I guess it wouldn't be any fun without that. Wink

We'll probably never have enough info to know if the story is just what was said or if there's more to it, so speculating is kind of pointless, imo. Personally, I didn't read anything that would lead me assume that the story was wrong, although it did just present one side of it.

I see two lessons here. First, that we should know our state laws backwards and forwards and how to properly execute a notarization. Second, we should know our limits and when NOT to be giving out advice - especially if we don't know what we're talking about. Assuming - or worse, guessing - can have serious consequences for the people who appear before us.
