I briefly signed up for Thumbtack years ago, when I guess it was pretty new (and free). I got one request from there from somewhere in the the LA area (for GNW). No way that's cost effective. For that type of work (i.e. GNW), it doesn't make sense to try to cover that broad of an area, and (at the time, at least), there was no way to limit a listing to local coverage. I deleted my profile.
