I don't bank at BofA, but I only either use my bank's drive-through ATM or get cash with my debit card when I do a grocery run to the supermarket (they don't charge a fee - I refuse to pay a fee to access my own money). Any checks I get I can deposit using the bank's app on my cellphone. I can't remember the last time I actually set foot inside the bank, although I've driven by the front door many times on my way to the ATM.

I don't know that brick-and-mortar banks will ever go away completely in the near future - there are still some transactions you need to get face-to-face with a person for, such as getting a cashier's check or using a safe deposit box - but I expect they will start to get smaller and reduce staff significantly.
