Was Eric was told it was a split signing only for the Texas resident by the lawyer? Without a notarial statement to document that only one party was supposed to sign, then what did the lawyer tell the notary? Did the lawyer say that the New York party would sign later.
Did the lawyer have POA authority? If he did then shouldn't have signed as ATF?
We all do split signings but General Notaries may hardly see one.
