If she said that she's never heard any objections to that request before, I'd bet dollars to donuts she's lying! Good for you for not putting up with that kind of abuse and for not falling for her intimidation efforts. I don't recall if it was the same company or not, but those kinds of tactics have been used for many years, which is one reason why so many of us flat out refuse to do debt consolidation signings. Some of the other reasons were mentioned above.
