Maryland law is we may not close mortgage loans that have title insurance issued without a TPL. It has nothing to do with who we work for. It's the signing/title companies responsibility to maintain a copy of our license. Additionally our license number must be on the deed of trust before it goes to recording. Does this answer your questions. It's not who we work for we are governed by Maryland law.
