Agree. Under what authority could this be considered a legal notarization? None, probably. But if this process is to be used only within the world of software, perhaps they don't care. Apple's 'authority' may be good enough for them. (Just wild, uninformed speculation, BTW.) Frankly, if we've come to that, I find it pretty scary.
