Just by way of example re: how GNW works, I never heard back from the caller I referenced in the message above. (It might have been because of the fee I quoted for her area. Frankly, she probably had no trouble finding someone closer and cheaper.) Point is that that's just a normal part of GNW. I don't consider it business lost because it was never really mine to begin with. It was just a conversation, so I put it out of my mind. (I do the same thing for low-ballers who call, text or email, too.) And maybe there was some connection to "Scam likely" after all.
I don't even put appointments into my calendar until I get a written confirmation (with few exceptions) via text or email, especially for first timers. I've got a mental list (which I know by heart now) of the items I always verify in advance to minimize a waste of my time. I try to always bear in mind that "Time is Money"! |
