| This thread is old, but I wanted to make sure the correction information is out there. NNA archives may be old. Notaries are not required to inform signer's of witness requirements, that is the title companies responsibility. Some signing companies may erroneously inform you it is legal to sign as a witness. Washington restricts this. Contact your regulatory authorities to confirm any/all information. Do not rely on online sources, signing companies, or fellow notaries. Do your own due diligence, your license depends on it. |
