At the end of the day, only you know at what fee you can/cannot make enough profit on a job to accept it or not accept it. I admit, companies are not paying the $150 and $175 they paid years ago and it is unlikely they will. If someone needs to work part time, full time for a steady paycheck, they should go for it. Signings are not guaranteed nor are payment dates. I have been waiting since January for a company to pay me almost $300 and they say "next week", tomorrow, etc.
My experience is you may make more profit on some signings and less on others, but you have to make an overall profit to make it worth your while or find another way to pay your bills. |
