Years ago I stopped riding / driving on two wheels because I'd gotten hit one too many times (for most people, getting hit once is one too many times!).

Scooters in CT do not have to be registered. *gasp* Any too many unlicensed drivers use 'em. Lots of times scooters are a menace to navigation, riding between lanes (highly illegal in CT [legal in CA, but God knows why!]), passing in the right, carrying passengers, failing to stop for stop signs and red lights, and on and on.
