Years ago I quit trying to track the bad guys, and those companies that no longer exist, and I discovered you can sort the companies by stars.
Trouble is, 3.5 to 5 star companies contain SSs and companies that no longer exist or have been purchased by a bigger corporation, merger/acquisition if you will.
Of the 264 companies in this "stellar" category, many companies are still around, but there are a considerable number of companies that have gone by the wayside.
This is not a bad way to track the good guys, but it's not perfect. I have the list in an excel spreadsheet and I've tracked companies that I work for and how long they take to pay. It's a wonderful tool for me. How many of you are building an excel spreadsheet of the companies you work for and how long they pay, do they require faxbacks and how are they at getting you documents in ample time to print, copy and review before you go to the signing.
I think with fewer resources to work for, this is a more manageable way to track the good guys, leave the bad boys in the dust. Why bother. I have blocked a growing number of lowballers and cattle callers. I just won't be distracted by them any more. They go to spam or voice mail. |
