Odd phenomenon with my old work horse HP 4200. After a few weeks with new Windows 7 computer, (the first few weeks it worked like a charm), then a big update occurred and it started this strange behavior.
It spools to the printer, but will not print. I then turn it off and on again: voila, it prints like a charm. In fact, it prints like a charm for a good bit with some time in between, then it gets "stuck" again. Turn off, on and again, perfect...for a bit.
Despite HP's age, HP has given me 3+ hours of It free, but nothing resolved. DELL tried, but mostly useless. Called local Printer Buisiness to buy refurbished, and she was amazing saying she just doesn't think it is my printer at all but a Microsoft issue that I should confront Microsoft about.
After talking with her and others thoughts on Microsoft, I attempted to call a 800# found on net; however, after being transferred 3 times, I realized it was a scam #, so hung up and of course, never gave any credit card info.
Any input at all appreciated as know a few in earlier post suggested it was a driver issue. Have tried about everything, but before giving up trying to take it to the limit ONE MORE TIME! Thanks much in advance. |
