| On Thurs, docs over 2 hours late, 9:15pm, and NSA couldn't and shouldn't wait. I was told we have to get someone out there. We got someone there and she finished signing around midnight. Poor woman then got stuck in the VA mud and had to get a tow. The LO approved accepting a personal check and in the AM the NSA was going to the BO to swap out for a certified. Well she gets a call from the BO saying don't bother, I am not going through w/loan. Because she was hired by me, I am paying her in full and actually cutting check tomorrow. However., the TC is telling me because the loan didn't fund, they only pay a $25 trip fee. I believe both the SS & NSA did our jobs and should be paid. Is this common practice today? I remember years ago a TC tried that stuff and it didn't fly. I haven't seen it since. How have some of you handled this situation? Thank you for your feedback. |
