Today I get 2 phone calls back to back from Nations Direct but each time I answer no one is there. I called them to find out what's going on and she tells me there is a signing tonight in my area. I start asking questions because she didn't offer up any details about type of signing, etc. (talk about pulling teeth!). At any rate the package for 2 borrowers (she thought) and about 200 pages plus fax backs. I told her my fee for this type of signing and she quickly says, "ok, I will have to get approval for that one. I will call you back." Uh huh........NOT.
Why is it that when notaries public want to be paid their full worth after having built solid relationships and a positive reputation in the industry that some schedulers act like the money is coming directly out of their pocket? Do these people work on commission or something?
It's absolutely insulting when a scheduler offers $65.00 for a standard refinance! I've actually been asked to accept $30.00 on some signings. I couldn't help but start laughing during the phone conversation. Is there no justice in this world???????
