Yes, that is how we view our role. When I talked with her, she is going by the "letter of the Law" vs. the intent of the role which was to license only settlement agents.
Her point is what we do can only be done by licensed "settlement agents".
Right now my understanding is that the Virginia Bar views that this only applies to settlement agents not NSA. Right now the Senior Investigator for the Bureau of Insurance RESA Investigations Section Agent Regulation & Administration Division under the SCC says different.
Until our role is clarified, this could be an issue.
