Got a call from a couple refinancing their Florida home. They'd received the documents from Title and needed GNW to complete.
One of the first documents was for me to certify that I am a notary. That form was okay until the acknowledgement verbiage for me to notarize my own signature. I explained to them that I would include my commission number and expiration date (which was part of the statement of information before the notarial verbiage), but that I would not stamp the document because that is not correct.
The irony is that she is also a notary. Makes one wonder. |
