When you have a husband and wife, don't both names go in the cert?
"Before me personally appeared John P. Jones and Susan P. Jones..." or whatever your wording is...or do you do separate certs for each party? I thought you did one for both.
So, if you do one for both, why can't both names be in this particular cert: "before me personally appeared Betty P. Fence and Betty Privacy Fence" ... ________________________________________________________________ Great question Linda!
Two different capacities “ personal & trustee” two different notary acts, two different signatures required on same document.
Put more simply two signatures, two different notarial acts.
In answer to Linda question, yes, husband and wife or brother & sister names can appear in one notary certificate together. Two separate (different) people personally appeared. If on the same document there is a second signature required by both husband & wife for the “TRUST” then a second acknowledgment for both husband and wife should be created. Since the signature for the Trust is a separate signature which needs to be notarized.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trust_law A trust is a relationship whereby property is held by one party for the benefit of another. A trust is created by a settlor, who transfers property to a trustee. The trustee holds that property for the trust's beneficiaries.
