It depends on what forms they're talking about and what they mean by "filling out". Some stuff anyone can fill out, other forms (such as immigration appeals) require preparation by an attorney or a paralegal working under the supervision of an attorney. $1200 seems kind of steep for something you may not be able to do without some sort of additional credentials. They make it sound like you can just complete this online course and hang out a shingle advertising the fact that you can help with immigration forms. It doesn't work that way.
If you're really interested in doing something like this, you should look into getting a paralegal certificate or degree (requirements may vary by state, but it took me about a year to get mine in NY) and then trying to hook up with an attorney who specializes in immigration law. It'll cost a bit more than $1200, but you'll have a skillset that's actually marketable. |
