Online banking has the same security - if you log on to their app/website from a device (i.e. phone/tablet/laptop/desktop/smart watch) they don't recognize, you will be asked one of the security questions you already established in your account and/or they will have you choose which phone number (text or call) or email address on record you want a 6 digit security code sent to. Wrong answers will lock you out of their site. I believe you get 2 or 3 tries before you're locked out. |
