Oops...I should have been more specific...I meant a nonrefundable trip fee collected whether or not the notarization happened. If that wasn't said during Thursday's call then it wouldn't be ethical to charge that after the fact. She can certainly inform them of that for Tuesday's appt.
I usually just quote my trip fee without stating that it's nonrefundable and collected whether or not the notarization happens. It only happens 1.5% of the time that an appt resulted in a waste of my time. If I believe the customer wasted my time unnecessarily then I plug their phone number into my DO NOT ANSWER list. If they call from another number, "I'm booked" and refer them to the UPS Store. |
