I like - and agree with - your premise.

However [nitpick time...], I wouldn't go so far as saying it's only a "handful". Yes, they are increasingly more difficult to find, but there are thousands of companies across the country that hire notaries and I'm sure there's more than a handful that will pay well. The issue may come down to how often do they have the need for a notary in our area. And when they do, 1) will they be able to find us, and 2) will they decide to choose us vs. all the others in our same coverage area. That's where we each have to do our own work to find a way to distinguish ourselves.
