I agree with Cheryl. I also suspect that they've seen the number of paying members drop considerably over the past year or two. So I cringe whenever I read posts complaining about this place. As I understand it, this website isn't their primary business and they could just as easily decide to take it down if it becomes too much of a headache. What would we do then?!
To me, the biggest value here is SC and the camaraderie of peers. There's also the fact that everyone's experiences are different and when shared here, there's the chance to learn about stuff I'd never think to inquire about on my own. It's never ending. When I've visited other public forums on occasion, I generally find myself shaking my head and moving on... |
