I'm sorry if this is a silly question or if it has been answered before but I was just wondering why LSAs can't require a deposit or a credit card number when making appointments? Obviously nothing would be charged unless the signing is completed and if it's cancelled or whatever the deposit could be released. I just can't fathom going to do work for a company or person that could be clear across the country and just "hoping" they pay what they promised. Can someone please explain this to me? A large banking corporation would easily be able to handle litigation over nonpayment so the threat of suing for nonpayment wouldn't seem to hold much weight |
