and overnighting to the borrowers. I still get daily a LOT of requests through SD where the fee is really low. I only use SD for one really great SS. I am told the SS has to pay SD $15 for each order they put out on the platform. So, if something is getting offered out at $85....most likely the SS or settlement agent is getting only $125. Could be getting more....but, all the settlement agents and SS seem to want is to cut the cost to the borrowers.
That's why "direct is best". Direct clients will pay more for someone that knows what they are doing. The higher fee is worth it to them to have someone handle the closing and not worry about not having a professional notary or someone that doesn't know what they are doing. Saves them time and money in the long run to get it done right the first time. |
