Who says diamonds are forever...another awkward scenario
Posted by  Cheryl Elliott of CA on 11/18/17 1:12pm Msg #586694
Last week, on the same day, I had short sale signings (seller and buyer packages) where both parties who originally were on the vesting/loan, needed to sign, but hate each other so much, they can't be in the same room together...

No problem, I was paid for two party signings, and at each one I heard words like, "she doesn't appreciate that I'm trying to help her", or "please don't tell her that I'm getting cash out...she signed off a few years ago." Very cryptic, I really don't need to know, but they feel compelled to tell me things. One of the spouses said "he still thinks he can badger me into signing when he wants me to sign."

I just take a big deep breath and go under cover, try to handle it with the minimum of commentary, usually "this will take only a couple of minutes, and you can be on your way."

We are ambassadors, neutral, unbiased, disinterested parties, yet they want to involve us in conversation.

These are life's hurdles, marriage, separation, divorce. Death, taxes, alimony, child support. Actually death is swifter...not so much hard feelings, anger and resentment.

Take a first time buyer any time...

NEWS FLASH...divorces, BKs, short sales and foreclosures are all on the increase in my world. When values began rising after the housing crunch...long awaited home equity so they could actually begin proceedings to go their separate ways.
