<<Is this why people just go out a buy a new phone every 6-9 months???>>
I don't know if that's the reason. I think it's more to just keep up with the latest technology (and the often fallible theory that "new must be better"). But it does point out that when you get a message that an operating system upgrade is available, you should strongly consider installing it. I know (and believe in) the old adage "If it works, don't fix it", but it's also true that the further behind you get as far as upgrades go, the harder it is to ever get current. Eventually, there will be new software that won't run on the old OS and you'll be forced to upgrade (like it or not) and it may be a painful experience. |
