. . . for a notary to sign their name, but that notary may be unable to sign due to a physical disability and needs a stamp. I do not believe this request would not be honored, because in my opinion, and this is just my opinion, it goes against everything the Americans With Disabilities Act stands for. There are several reasons I can think of where a notary might need a stamp. Maybe the notary has two broken arms, or no arms at all. Maybe they suffer from MS or Parkinsons. Or maybe they had a stroke or an accident that left them paralyzed. Just because they are physically disabled does not mean they cannot be a notary and we need to provide them every resource and tool available to help them get their job done. |
