It's obvious that notaries will have to evolve in order to continue to earn a living. Like everything else, the function that notaries serve now will migrate to automation and the notary will have to adapt to new skills in order to keep up. The amazing part is that it's taking as long as it is for this transition to happen. I would have to agree with Luckydog that within 20 years, notaries, as we know them now, will no longer exist. Maybe sooner than that.
