There are many thorough ways of calculating the cost

of doing business as an NSA. While cos. think they're paying us a lot at $100, for example, we're the one's bearing the costs of printing, travel, etc. Some keep Excel spreadsheets for that purpose.
I've been handling my business expenses & taxes for about 13 years. The K.I.S. method is to figure 1/3 as your cost factor, & that doesn't include Self Employment Taxes. So if I have a signing & spend a total of 3 hrs. & expenses, at $100 I've made approx. $66 or $22/hr. before taxes.
