saying that right away and just going direct to your problem. You were badly hurt while going about your business--by appointment--with a signer who neglected basic courtesies: No light.
I (know nothing) but think it would be a real uphill battle to get the law firm that sent you on this mi8ssion to step up and do the right thing. I'd still call them & try to get them to do something for you, but...well, this type of thing is why people have Homeowner's Insurance. I think Linda said it best.
