Re: First Meridian Title - Slow to No Pay!

First Meridian is indeed a title company- Great!
Does Matt Bernkopf work at First Meridian?
What does "agreed fee by email from Matt Bernkopf, with no success" mean? You didn't actually get it in writing?
If it's not on the CD or Alta, and Matt doesn't work at the title company to add it to the Alta and lender to the CD, going to be very hard. He will have to pay out of pocket. The title company already disbursed. If it's not on the CD/Alta, you are not getting paid from the closing disbursement...you need to chase Matt down.
You never do closings without a confirmation.

The good thing is Russ Abrams confirmed it by saying he sent you a check,..ow go after Russ Abrams. He can overnight it...they have accounts, he's the President. You need to send a professional letter, and certified if you must to take it to the next level. Good luck! Lesson learned!
