You said that "Again, the likelihood of someone committing fraud in a nursing home is unlikely." and really, that is untrue...that is the main place some people try to START the fraud. Not saying the signer, but usually the signer's family. I have had a few people try to get the signer to sign things that either they are not aware of, or are not consenting too. Although that has nothing to do with ID, it has to do with the fraud that happens in nursing facilities. Either way, in California the person needs to have proper ID or 2 credible witnesses.
